Agreement to these terms
These terms apply to your use of rrefcalculator.io, including the RREF calculator, the augmented matrix calculator, the guides and the contact form. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the operator of rrefcalculator.io.
What the site provides
rrefcalculator.io is a free educational website. It reduces matrices of up to 6 rows and 7 columns to row echelon form or reduced row echelon form using exact rational arithmetic, classifies systems of linear equations, and explains row reduction in written guides. No account is required and no fee is charged.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal study, teaching and any other lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site, its server or its contact service;
- use automated tools to send large volumes of requests, or to copy the site at a scale that degrades it for others;
- send spam, advertising, malware, or unlawful, abusive or harassing content through the contact form;
- misrepresent your identity or impersonate someone else when contacting us;
- use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.
Using the calculator for coursework or exams is your responsibility. Follow the rules set by your school, instructor or exam board.
Your calculations and messages
Matrices you enter and the results you receive are processed in your browser and belong to you. You may use, copy and share them freely. If you send us a message, you confirm that its content is yours to share and does not break anyone's rights. How we handle messages is described in the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The site's text, guides, worked examples, design, logo and code are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights, and all rights are reserved except as described here. You may:
- link to any page of the site;
- quote short excerpts for study, teaching, comment or review, with a link to the source page;
- print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial study.
Any other copying, republishing or commercial use of the site's content requires our written permission. Mathematical facts and standard methods, such as the definition of reduced row echelon form, are not owned by anyone.
Texas Instruments, TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus are trademarks of their owner and are used only to identify the calculators discussed. rrefcalculator.io is not affiliated with Texas Instruments.
Accuracy and no warranty
We test the calculator carefully, and every guide example is checked by the same engine. However, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Results depend on the values you enter. Check important results independently before relying on them, especially for graded work or professional use. See the disclaimer for more detail.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the law that applies to you, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of marks, grades, data, time or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
